The role of a school in the present scenario is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society. A school must try to provide its students with an atmosphere of multifaceted development, where children are encouraged to channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence. This can only be possible in a holistic, student-centric environment. The talents, skills, and abilities of each child needs to be identified, nurtured, and encouraged so that he/she is able to reach greater heights. It is necessary to provide children with a platform to think, express, exhibit their skills; empowering them to negotiate several issues that confront them, with the teacher being a facilitator. We often make the critical mistake of considering children, regardless of their age, class, ethnicity, or background, like a blank notebook that is yet to be written upon. In doing so, we often fail to realize that each child has his/her own individuality, special skills, and talents. Therefore, a good school system is one that helps a child to nurture his/her talents and overcome shortcomings by providing appropriate, all-encompassing education, enabling and equipping the child to develop his/her personality to face the challenges of life.
Anthony J. D’Angelo rightly quoted, “Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you’ll never cease to grow.”
At Global Indian International School our philosophy of education has always been meeting the needs of the individual child in acquiring skills and knowledge by making the surrounding stimulating and purposeful. In the 21st century, the Digital Revolution is changing everything: a brilliant barrage of information, entertainment, companionship and education is speedily available. This makes our students not only highly “individual driven” but also sensitive and empathetic to other’s failures, a very important factor which shapes them into fine human beings. We carefully nurture the tangible and the intangible strengths of each student, preparing them to face challenges of a competitive world.
We aim to redefine education for the new generation, by triggering the element of passion and curiosity, competing with none but oneself and against the situation. Indian in values but global in competence, aware of their strengths and weaknesses, free from fear, prejudice and apathy, techno savvy but trained and encouraged to think creatively, to solve problems, to evolve together into spirited youth, ready for the enterprise of life.
We want our school to be a place where your voice is heard. If you have ideas, thoughts, or concerns you’d like to share, we’d love to hear about them. You are always welcome to contact us with your suggestions or concerns.
With the promise of Commitment and Kaizen..
